Projects promoting the development and digitalisation of the construction industry
Research Projects
thinkBIC brings together research projects that advance digital methods, AI and networked data worlds in the planning, construction, operation and infrastructure of projects in the construction industry. It shows how innovative technologies simplify processes, create transparency and revolutionise cross-disciplinary collaboration.
FaBIM
Holistic planning, construction and operation of factories with BIM
FaBIM is a research project that uses Building Information Modelling (BIM) to holistically integrate factories throughout their entire life cycle. Production and building data are integrated in an open, shared data environment in order to identify planning errors at an early stage, reduce costs and save time.
CoLa
Collaborative factory planning for brownfield projects
CoLa is a research project for the collaborative redesign of existing factories (brownfield sites) based on digital point clouds and in a VR environment. Several participants jointly plan layout variants, evaluate them using key figures and thus optimise them more efficiently and intuitively.
smartDLWD
Optimization of municipal services through AI solutions
Smart-DLWD is a research project that facilitates access to AI-driven, data-based services for municipal public utility companies. With the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing costs and opening up new avenues for value creation, it provides a guide so that other cities and municipal utilities can benefit in the same way.
